Event Summary
This hands-on workshop prepares the foundation for the Re-Earthing Futures Family Festival’s adobe seed library at Rio Fernando Park. The library will house native and heritage seeds for community access and local ecological restoration.
Participants build a rubble trench foundation: filling the trench with gravel, compacting it, setting batter boards and string lines, and laying a 6-inch flagstone stem wall with cement mortar. The work prepares the site for laying adobe bricks at the festival. No experience is necessary. This is a learning-by-doing workshop, limited to 15 participants.
