This half-day Clay Plaster Intensive is in partnership with Earthen Project LA and Chris Martinez of @indigenousfutures. Facilitated by Autumn Flower Creek of MudWorks, and hosted on a private property in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles.
Through this hands-on workshop you will learn some of the basics of natural building and ways of identifying on-site soil for earthen walls. Each participant will get the chance to learn how to mix clay, sand, and straw to create plaster mixes, and then apply them directly onto an earthen home. We will be doing a mix of leveling coats and finish plasters.
